South East casinos
Our South East area doesn’t include London, but is home to a huge number of casinos. The South Coast is stuffed with roulette tables, all the way from Southend (with a lovely Genting, an old LCI site called the Rendezvous and a shiny new G coming soon) across to Margate and around to Southampton.
Brighton, in between, has three of it’s own, all in some way slightly fitting the faded splendour of the town. Portsmouth also has a couple, and Southampton itself has two, after an independent operator called Harbour House was bought by Genting and promptly closed. There’ll eventually be another monster casino in town, as there’s a 2005 licence up for grabs, which will end up being something close to the fabled Supercasino.
The last town slotting into this region is Reading, which has three casinos – a shiny new G on the outskirts, a large Genting on the edge and a central old Grosvenor.
